Metricool or Updrift for Bluesky?

Metricool is a well priced all-in-one for people who manage several brands, and Bluesky is in every one of its plans. Updrift only does Bluesky. Which is right depends on whether you report on one network or ten.

When Metricool is right

If you look after several brands across Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube and the rest, and you send clients a monthly report, Metricool is a very good choice. It puts scheduling, analytics and exportable reports in one place, it compares you with a list of competitors, its Free plan covers one brand, and Bluesky is in every plan rather than held back for the higher ones. Its Bluesky composer takes threads, images, video and GIFs.

Where Bluesky is an afterthought

Metricool's Bluesky figures are the standard ones: followers over time, posts per week, and likes, replies, reposts and quotes for each post. What it does not do is measure Bluesky on its own terms. Its own guide to the best time to post on Bluesky says its audience activity data covers your whole audience across the networks you manage and is not Bluesky specific. It does not show hashtag performance against your usual, where each new follower came from, or content labels, and its help said at the checked date that a Bluesky account with a custom domain handle cannot be connected at all, which rules out a good many established accounts. If Bluesky is one brand's fourth channel, none of that matters. If it is the channel you are growing, it does.

Questions

Does Metricool support Bluesky?

Yes. Its help pages say Bluesky is available in all its plans, including Free, with threads, images, video and GIFs. One limit worth knowing: at the checked date its help said accounts with custom domain handles cannot be connected.

Does Metricool have Bluesky analytics?

Yes. Its site shows follower growth over time, post frequency, and likes, replies, reposts and quotes per post, with reports you can export. Its best time figures come from audience activity across the networks you manage rather than from Bluesky alone.

Can I use both?

Yes. Keep Metricool for its reports and connect the same Bluesky account to Updrift's Free plan for measured best hours, hashtag figures and the Inbox.
