Plan Bluesky posts from Claude

Connect Claude to Updrift and it can read your figures, draft a month of posts and check the plan, and schedule it only once you have said yes.

What the connection does

MCP (Model Context Protocol) is the open standard that lets an AI app use another service's tools. Updrift runs an MCP server, and once Claude, or another MCP client, is connected to it, it can do two kinds of thing on your behalf: read, and plan. Reading covers what the app shows: followers by the hour, each post's first day against your usual, best hours, the hashtag table, the What works report, who is new and who left, and clicks on tracked links. Planning covers the Planner: drafting posts for one or more accounts, checking them against your posting times and limits, and scheduling them once you agree.

It acts as you, on your own accounts only, with what your plan allows and nothing more. The plan is read again on every request, so a limit that applies in the app applies in Claude.

Setting it up

Open Settings in Updrift and choose Use with Claude. It shows the server's address and three steps:

1. In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and choose Add custom connector. Other MCP apps have a place to add a remote server.
2. Paste the address as the server's address.
3. Sign in with your ClackID when it asks, and allow the connection.

The same section shows what the connection has done and lets you disconnect it. Every call Claude makes is recorded: the tool, whether it read or wrote, and what came of it.

What a conversation looks like

Ask a question about your figures and Claude reads them: which posts beat your usual last month, which hours did best, what a starter pack brought and how many of those followers stayed. Ask for a plan and it works through the Planner's own steps:

1. It reads the accounts you can post from, their time zones, their posting times and what is already scheduled, so new posts do not crowd existing ones.
2. It drafts the posts. Text over 300 characters is written as a thread, split where a line of only --- is placed, each part under about 280 characters, with a closing line of hashtags that moves to the first post.
3. It checks the plan without saving it: every post's errors and warnings, the plan's limits, and the 45-minute gap between an account's own posts. You see every row.
4. Only after you agree does it schedule the plan. Posts go in as drafts unless you asked for them scheduled, and posts from one account are kept 45 minutes apart.
5. Later, it can read the campaign report: reach, clicks per post through tracked links, and sign-ups where a link page is used.

On a Studio team, Claude acts as the signed-in teammate with their role. A Writer's posts wait for an approver, in Claude as in the app.

During the trial

A trial reads only. Claude can read every figure and check a campaign plan, and the check saves nothing. Scheduling, replying from the Inbox and any other write are refused until the first payment, and the refusal says so. That is enough to see whether the connection is useful to you: ask for a month of posts, read the checked plan, and decide.

What it will not do

• Post without your agreement. A plan is drafted, checked and shown; scheduling is a separate step you take in the conversation.
• Reply to people on its own. Replying from the Inbox is two steps too: the reply and whom it answers are shown, and it is sent only when you confirm.
• Reach an account that is not yours, or read a figure your plan does not include.
• Keep anything from you. The log in Settings shows every call, and disconnecting ends the access at once.

Which plans

The connection works on every paid plan, from £4 a month, and on the 7-day trial in its read-only form. The Planner, which the planning steps need, comes with Duo at £7 a month for two accounts, and with Studio for five and a team. See the plans.
